My whole prey kitty Dennis...

I adopted him from the Humane Society on December 28th and he was being fed science death and some brand of canned cat food in the mornings. I switched him immediately to a non GMO no grain canned hoping to be able to switch him to raw and I had great struggles as he would not eat what my 26 year-old raw fed cat was eating. I knew he loved fish because I bought several different kinds of cat treats that were dehydrated and the ones he went for were the fish. Sprinkling it on the food didn't help... he would only eat the canned and if I mixed too much fine ground raw into the canned he would not eat it. So I thought maybe I should go buy some frozen smelts and sardines and see if he was willing to eat them. Sure enough he gobbled them! After some discussion with Meg Gage, she suggested I look for frozen mice and see if he would eat those. Found some rather pricey near me, bought four, brought them home, thawed and offered them up and sure enough he gobbled them too! So I found a place I could buy in bulk at wholesale prices in Peterborough which is about an hour drive for me and I went down there and picked up a bag full of mice and a bag full of small rats. He WILL eat both! This video is him starting his meal of a small rat. So he's a whole prey kind of guy. Makes it a little more difficult to feed him and I think I might have to go into the business of raising mice. My next thing to check is if he'll eat chicks and if he will I've got that one in the bag because I raise chickens and I can incubate loads of eggs so that he has chicks to eat. I wish he would eat egg yolk...but he will not.

Meghan is so passionate about animal nutrition and it shows with her huge pool of knowledge. I recently went to Meghan to pick her brain about my dog experiencing hair loss and dandruff, wondering if it was diet related. Within minutes she did something my dog's own Internal Medicine Specialist couldn't- She remembered through her research hearing about Huskies and Zinc deficiency. We brainstormed solutions and eventually I decided to supplement the Zinc. Now only one week later, her coat is SO much better! So thankful to her, and want everyone to know how knowledgeable and helpful she is.

Omg yes!!! I’ll give you mine! It was super informative and very easy to navigate and understand how to feed raw, literally 3 weeks ago I knew nothing about raw feeding. I wish I would have when I had my rag doll I think a lot of his urinary issues would have never arose. Hence why I started looking into the BEST health options for my Bengal. I’ve waited years to own one and I will not comprise her health at all! My fingers are crossed you make a recipe book to buy too! What makes it interesting? Write a catchy description to grab your audience's attention..

It is very refreshing to find someone who will educate the public on how to really nourish your pet and not continue the brainwashing of the petfood industry! Thank you for helping us to give our dogs a better foundation for better health thru a better way of eating.

Quick accurate service!
Always answered any question I had. Meghan is very professional, has a lot of knowledge, and more credentials and is able to backup all of her knowledge than all of these so called "pet food gurus".

Megan was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. She answered all my questions with ease and in a very timely manner. She was very accommodating with the pick up/ delivery of the raw dog food.

My dog Cutie (all black Golden Doodle) loves her food! In fact, she treats it like a bone, and hides it all over the house to save for later.  We are still working on that part!

Cutie used to have very bad dry skin and raw hot spots. She was scratching her self raw on her back haunches! So, after some research and talking with Meghan, I decided to start her on the raw dog food diet and now look at her! Nice skin and no more hot spots! Another plus side of the raw dog food is that Cutie has been shedding less, doesn't have stinky breath, has beautiful white teeth, smaller poops and her poops don't stink either!

Being the first time mom of a Bengal kitten, I started researching feline nutrition. That's when I stumbled across Meghan and her site The Nutrition Code! Between reading her postings and direct questions to her, I can tell a huge difference in my kittens health in just two weeks of this sites help! Even the veterinarian can see the difference! I would recommend The Nutrition Code to all pet owners who are having digestion issues with their pet or just want the absolute best for their babies!

My story. I brought my guy, Xerxes, home when he was 8 weeks old. He was the runt and had been fixed the day before, which I did not know till I picked him up. I thought I had to sign a contract to get it done at a later time. I got him home, he had diarrhea. Like stink you out of the House kind of diarrhea. I called the breeder she said he was fine that it was the car ride. I waited another day, he wasn't better. He went to the vet, she diagnosed him with stress colitis and sent off samples of his poo just in case. The next day he was weak and still had diarrhea after having certain meds, his dr wanted to see him right away. She admitted him. Iv fluids and meds for 2 days. He finally started feeling better because he wasn't dehydrated any more. He came home. Of course I babied him and did everything I could. The next day (Christmas eve) I noticed he was getting worse. Lifeless and a limp noodle. I called and Doc was right there. She admitted him for another 3 days. The breeder told me to meet her with medicine that would fix him.

I am desperate, I was losing my baby. Our Dr couldn't give him this med because he didn't have a diagnosis of tri tric yet till the labs came back but the breeder could. I gave the meds for 2 weeks. The baby got better but his bowels were so damaged the diarrhea continued.

At this point Xerxes was 3 months old and didn't quite weigh 2 pounds. I came in contact with ‪Meghan Leah Waals‬ by the grace of God. She recommended switching him [to raw]. I drove this poor girl nuts with all my questions and concerns. I made the switch with no transition. I remember chasing my fiancé with tears in my eyes and the pooper scooper in hand so excited that my baby had a firm poo! We have been on raw ever since and I can proudly say Xerxes now weighs 8.8 pounds (almost 7 months old now) and we have not had any diarrhea. He goes to the vet at least once a month to visit and she can't believe how well his structure and coat look.

Hey Meghan,
One thing you don't mention a lot about with the raw feeding diet is animals produce great fertilizer after eating it lol.

The dog produces less "waste" and goes half as much as before because it is mostly usable nutrients and the lawn really looks healthy from not picking it up over the winter....that was purposeful

“….too cool!! And instead of a drop down menu and having to put in each protein like the freebie one, people can just make a shopping list from this and go!! So awesome!”
